How this all got started...

My name is Sara and I am a Colorado native..  I grew up in Denver and went to Thomas Jefferson High School.  TJ offered a Communications program that I took all four years.  After high school I went to the Art Institute of Colorado.  When I graduated I was offered a position at a hotel running the business office and setting up audio/visual equipment for meetings, conferences, and weddings.  This didn't last too long, it wasn't what I wanted to do long term.  I wanted to be part of the creative and artsy side of the industry.

I went back into waitressing, like a lot of young professionals do, and tried to figure out what my next move would be.  I had plenty of contract jobs including  working with Good Morning America during the Columbine Shootings and being the official photographer at the Horse Tracks.  I also gained a lot of experience shooting plenty of school pictures, hockey, soccer, baseball and lacrosse games.  Then finally, I saw an opportunity that I couldn't pass up when I started waiting on Pat Bowlen (owner of the Broncos.)  Being a Denver native and loving the Broncos, I decided to send him my resume and continued to sign my name to every receipt I gave him.  One day I received a call from Steve, who was in charge of running the jumbo screen at the football field formally known as Mile HIgh Stadium.  He offered me a job shooting all of the events at the stadium and of course I accepted.  I shot for the Broncos for two years, but like all good things, that came to an end.

In the mean time I attended a wedding and the photographer didn't show up.  I immediately ran home and grabbed my camera.  This is how it all began, how I found my passion.  As time has gone on I have included floral design, event planning and invitations.  After having all of these individual jobs, I have learned how much I really love what I do.  I get to be creative and artsy everyday.  I meet and get to work with great new people everyday.  Not to mention I went back to TJ to coach soccer.
